Drum Class + Circle with Mamoudou Konate Simbo & Remmi Nicole

 at Johnson Park

Join us for an authentic African drum class not to be missed!

Great circles combine djembes with the dununba (3 drums: djun, sangba, kenkene) plus bells, chekere, and other percussion. Bring any of these you have. You can also rent a drum and chair, if needed.

The directions are below.
2 great teachers will be combining their love for African music to help you create a richer sound at your next drum circle!

⭐ Mamoudou Konate Simbo resides in NY and comes from Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, in West Africa. He brings his lifelong passion for the drum. He has taught and performed around the world, including our Touch Mother Earth festivals. He plays djembe, dununba, talking drum, guitar, other instruments, and sings!

⭐ Remmi Nicole is here in NY and is originally from Florida. She teaches all levels and was trained under Village Music Circles, led by Arthur Hull. Remmi has performed at Starwood and Touch Mother Earth festivals and plays djembe, djun, and more.

Drum Circle: 2:00 pm $10 Includes the potluck picnic.
Drum Class: 4:00 pm $20
BOTH for $25
